Akukon expands into Poland

Akukon’s operating model is based on an international network of experts, and having a local company in Poland will strengthen the practical use of this network.

The Polish subsidiary is headed by Łukasz Błasiński, PhD, who has an in-depth understanding of the Polish market through his previous business activities. Łukasz holds a doctorate in acoustics. The company is currently recruiting additional experts.

Jukka Ahonen, CEO of the parent company Akukon Oy, explains the rationale for the new subsidiary: “Poland is one of Europe’s fastest-growing economies, and its construction market is expanding faster than the EU average. Significant investments are being made in culture, infrastructure and public-sector projects, creating growing demand for acoustic and AV design services for large and technically demanding projects. Akukon’s strong specialist expertise directly addresses this need.”

In addition to Łukasz Błasiński, CEO Jukka Ahonen and Development Director Uli Jetzinger have been appointed to the new company's management team.

Akukon already has numerous design projects underway for opera houses and concert halls in Poland. Among the completed projects, the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is worth mentioning.
