Tomas Vilniskis, M.Sc., has joined our Lithuanian daughter company, Akukon Lietuva UAB. Tomas has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degrees in environmental engineering from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. He is currently doing his PhD in the same university, concerning “Innovative acoustic material made from used tires”.

For the last 5 years, Tomas has worked with measurements at the Accredited Laboratory of Environmental Protection and Labour Condition at the Vilnius Gediminas Technical university, mainly with building acoustic and environmental noise measurements and research.

Javier Gómez Bolaños, D.Sc. (tech.), has joined our team in Helsinki. He holds a Master’s and Doctor’s Degrees in Acoustics from the Aalto University. For the last two years he was working as CTO of Hefio Oy, before that as researcher at the Acoustics Lab at the Aalto University. He also has a background as AV- and lighting technicians, in both theaters and broadcasting companies.

Javier will be working with our acoustics design team, both on projects in Finland and abroad. With him, we get a new language in Akukon, Spanish.  Our new number of mother tongues is now 11 (English not counted)

Jukka Puurula, M.Sc., has started as a measurement technician in our Helsinki office. Prior to joining Akukon, he has worked in a variety of voice-related roles as a musician, teacher, music technologist, and most recently as a measurement technician at Caverion.

In Akukon, Jukka will make all kinds of measurements related to acoustics. In addition, he is responsible for maintaining our acoustic measuring equipment.
